about

This is the perfect song to listen to while looking out a train window, watching the scenery fly past. Or returning to drive the streets of your hometown, years after having moved on.

I present to you "See The Stars," my newest original single!

It's actually one of the oldest songs I've written. I was recently struck with the urge to retouch and record it in full studio sound. Let it take you back to a simpler, younger time in your head, even if just for a moment.

lyrics

(Verse 1)
I boarded a train... I said,
"Take me somewhere I have never been
I know the way..."

We're all part of a chain
Sometimes we forget that we must learn to bend
So instead we break

(Chorus)
So when you're sitting on the overpass bridge
And your feet are hangin' over the edge
Remember back to the times when we were just kids
When you're lyin' on the grass in the park
And the constellations seem so far
Remember if it weren't so dark, you'd never see the stars,
You'd never see the stars...

(Verse 2)
I boarded a ship... I said
"Take me somewhere I can loosen my grip
I could use the trip."

I feel like the trees
Roots not so deep, and limbs without leaves
No heart for these sleeves

(Chorus)

(Bridge)
We're unwinding just like clocks with missing cogs
I lift my eyes to search the skies and I can't pierce through the fog
Through the fog... when will this stop?

(Verse 3)
Frost turns to dew
Everything here reminds me of you
You'd love the view...

(Chorus 2)
So when you're standing on the edge of the tides
And you feel the tears well up in your eyes
Remember in the darkest of nights, come the surest of signs...

When you're still so far from home
And the ocean's echoing in your bones
Remember, where a seed falls, is where it will grow

(Chorus 1)
